We speak with Janine Mohamed - a Narrunga Kaurna woman and CEO of the Lowitja Institute – Australia’s National Institute for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Research, who was recently awarded the Victorian Australian of the Year in recognition of her legacy as a pioneer for Indigenous healthcare. We also speak with Chelsea Aniba of the Dhoeybaw clan of Sabai Island, who is a Torres Strait community advocate for climate justice, and is in the midst of a landmark case, suing the Australian Government in the High Court over their failure to protect the Torres Strait from the effects of climate change.
