About The Author: Michael Samerdyke was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a graduate of the Odyssey Writers Workshop and has won the Lonesome Pine Short Story Contest twice, for "Snowman" and "The Rest of the Way Home," and the Appalachian Heritage Writers Symposium contest for "The Frankenstein Doll." He currently lives and writes in southwestern Virginia.
