With students headed back to Jacksonville State University this week, Communications Director Ashlee Jones sat down with Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Christie Shelton, to discuss some of the new policies set in place to keep staff and students safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as how athletics and move-in days for housing have been affected.--Dr. Christie Shelton is a JSU alumna and earned her BSN and MSN from the university before receiving a PhD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has served in various roles at JSU since 2000 including Lab Coordinator, BSN Program Director, Co-Principal Investigator, and Associate Dean before becoming Dean of the School of Health Professions and Wellness (SHPW) in 2013 (formerly College of Nursing).  Dr. Shelton’s tenure as dean was one of marked growth for her school.
