Affection is a word that has become closely related to love. In many cases it is the thing that decides whether we feel loved or not. Some of you know what I am talking about. If our spouse isn't being very affectionate towards us then we wonder if we feel loved. If we were raised in a home where affection was void, then feeling it for the very first time can almost be like a drug. What if this lack presents a space where we would do or search anywhere for it? Suddenly our definition of love has become limited to a feeling that we are constantly chasing and finding in all the wrong places.
