Our relationship with God is a covenant, a sacred agreement in which He always keeps His side of the bargain. While history is filled with examples of humanity's rebellion and broken promises, God's faithfulness remains our steadfast hope. -- The Seed of Rebellion: The first act of human rebellion by Adam and Eve planted a seed of disobedience that bore fruit in their son, Cain, leading him to murder his brother. This serves as a warning that what we harbor in our hearts will inevitably manifest in our lives.
-- The Covenant of Joash: The story of King Joash and the priest Jehoiada illustrates the benefits of covenantal living. As long as they submitted to God's will, the people and their land prospered. But when the covenant maker died, they fell away, and wrath came upon them.
-- The Promise of the Seal: God's consistency is our assurance. Just as He promised to be a "wall of fire" around His people, He seals believers with His Spirit—a sign of His protection and presence. This seal transforms us, clothing us in righteousness and enabling us to bear the fruit of the Spirit rather than the fruit of rebellion.
-- The Call to Abide: The core of this teaching is a call to examine ourselves. We must choose to receive the "seed of righteousness" found only in Jesus Christ. When we abide in Him, we are born of God and cannot continue in sin because His seed remains in us.
