In this episode of In Service of Health, host Dr. Joneigh S. Khaldun sits down with Dr. Kameron Matthews to explore how primary care and public health can work together to advance population health.  Dr. Matthews shares her journey from medicine and law to leading health system transformation at the Veterans Health Administration and Cityblock Health, highlighting lessons from community-focused care, correctional medicine, and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).  Together, Drs. Matthews and Khaldun discuss the critical role of high-quality primary care in improving outcomes, integrating social and behavioral services, and designing care models that meet patients where they are.
