Listen "Field Studies and Being There Experiences...Opening the Brain for Learning"
Episode Synopsis
When students ask the question of "Why is this important?", know that what their brains are really saying is, "I need to know how to store this information." This podcast dives into the model of instruction used at Clayton-Bradley Academy that uses Field Studies and Being There Experiences as ways of showing the student the real world and how the real world uses this information. That allows the brain to better store the information and then be able to bring it back out later and apply that information in a new way. This is the learning process that is so important to help students master standards and truly learn.
