Episode Synopsis "Mental Health during pregnancy – part 1"
Some women feel more vulnerable or anxious during pregnancy. And often, people don't talk about these feelings. In this episode, Wanjiku and her mum talk through their journey. And Wanjiku learns how mental health care was provided for pregnant mothers 30 years ago. This is purely anecdotal. Please seek medical advice from your midwife, nurse, or another healthcare provider if you suspect you are not well. You are not alone. As many as 1 in 5 women have mental health problems during pregnancy or after birth (Royal College of Psychiatrists, 2018).
