I have to give credit where it is due, he is simply too good at golf. There is no denying it. Some people take years to just get consistent with their swing, and he already has that part nailed. It is not just that he hits the ball a long way, although he does, too.
What stands out is how frequently he puts the ball exactly where it needs to be. Whether he is hitting a fairway shot, an approach shot, or a putt, they all look practiced, and controlled.
It is not luck or a one off situation either. He consistently plays the same way. Either way, if it is windy or the course is unfamiliar, he figures it out, and keeps going. I have seen people frustrated after a bad hole, or a missed putt, and that type of a frustration never lingers over his game.
He is solely focused on his next shot, and that level of consistency makes a difference over 18 holes.
There is also the technical aspect. He knows his clubs, he knows how to identify the proper club to hit the shot. He knows how to read a green. When I see him line up a putt, it amazes me just how deliberate he is evaluating the slope and distance to a putt.
