The New York Immigration Coalition and allies on Sunday, November 30, held a news conference to respond to the successful effort by local residents and activists to prevent ICE from seizing street vendors on Canal Street. Several people were arrested following the blockade of the entrance to the parking garage, where dozens of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents had gathered for the immigration raid.
