The book of Mark directs our way to follow Jesus, to follow the King who came to serve. John was anointed by God to prepare the way for Jesus. He spent a lot of time in the wilderness, where he was strengthened for his purpose. It is in our wilderness that God meets with us and strengthens us. When we create a way for the King, Jesus does walk on it. Mark encourages us to follow the Way; to follow our Master. We are encouraged to read and apply the word of God in our daily lives, thus not conforming to the patterns of this world. Jesus went around doing good. He is our deliverer, the way, he is our everything. There is no pit so deep, that God's love is not deep enough to reach there. He is with us, we are never alone.
