Memento mori is a Latin phrase meaning 'remember you must die', but, we’re only human. Nobody ever wants to think about dying or the death of someone they love, let alone have a conversation about it. Talking about death and dying is hard, because we've never really been taught to talk about death or how to appropriately bring up the subject. Visiting hospice services are offered in the person’s own home, long term care homes, retirement homes and both Belleville General and Trenton Memorial Hospitals. This care is provided by trained, experienced, and compassionate volunteers.  Bereavement support groups are also offered. There are no fees for services to patients and their families.
