In this episode, the Liberty Hippie sits down with Mike Barnhouse of Broken Shovel Farms. Mike and his wife grew up around gardens and farms so when they found a place to settle down, of course they started their own garden. Over the years the garden has grown to include a market garden and some sheep. Recently, they were even able to add some adjoining acreage to grow their homestead even bigger with fruit trees and more gardens. We talked a bit about their decision to homeschool their children, and one of Mike's hobbies that has turned into a side business: roasting coffee!
