I have rarely succeeded at growing a really large healthy plant in containers, but I’ve especially struggled growing plants indoors. Light, airflow, temperature, fertilizing, watering but not watering too much are all things I can’t seem to wrap my head around consistently enough to be successful at growing plants indoors. Container gardening is difficult to do especially if you have a busy schedule or travel, or maybe you are just more forgetful like me.
So, when I was asked this year to do a podcast episode on growing plants in containers, I knew I was no expert. I reached out to Olivia with @container_garden_central because she has mastered container gardening and indoor growing. Hailing from northwest Pennsylvania in zone 6a, Olivia is challenged with really crazy weather and a short growing season outdoors. Growing year-round is important to her, and she'll share some of her tips and tricks to how she grows indoors and in containers to achieve this goal.
