Listen "From Complex to Queens, Episode 34: An ode to the 2019 Binghamton Rumble Ponies"
Episode Synopsis
Welcome to From Complex to Queens, the podcast from Amazin’ Avenue focusing on the Mets’ minor league system.
First, inspired by the Expanded Universe contributions that the Star Wars Holiday Special gave us, the team discusses what Mets players autocorrect would have a field day with in Promote, Extend, Trade.
Next, they review the 2019 Binghamton Rumble Ponies season. On paper, it was a solid team with its fair share of prospects and farmhands, but after getting off to a decent start in the first half, things spiraled out of control in the second half.
After, Steve chats with John Trupin and the two discuss the city of Binghamton and the attendance issues that the Rumble Ponies (and B-Mets before them) struggled with.
