Episode Synopsis

What Is the Feast of Firstfruits? The Feast of Firstfruits is one of God’s appointed times, described in Leviticus 23. It takes place during the week of Unleavened Bread, the day after the Sabbath. On this day, the people of Israel were commanded to bring the very first sheaf of their barley harvest to the priest as an offering to the Lord. Here’s what’s amazing:Jesus rose from the dead on this exact day: the Feast of Firstfruits! Paul calls Him “the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep” (1 Corinthians 15:20).So today, we’re going deep: back to the Old Testament, through the prophets, and into the New Testament, to see how God’s appointed times are not old and irrelevant… but filled with meaning, beauty, and promise. We’ll unpack the Scriptures, give biblical context, explore why it still matters, and even talk about how it points to the end times and the return of Christ.Let's open our Bible and let the WORD transform us!A Quick Note:You might notice the audio quality dips partway through this episode.
