John Wright is undoubtedly one of the top hockey officials in the game worldwide. His glittering career has seen him officiate at an incredible five Olympic Games, where he umpired in three finals. Along with a handful of World Cup games the South African superstar is one of the country's finest-ever hockey exports.

Wright's achievements across the globe has seen him earn the prestigious golden whistle, while we was the fourth man to umpire 200 international games. His career ended on a fairytale high as he umpired a final at home alongside his brother, with his family in attendance.

John shared his insight into the world of administration, explained his cricketing connection with the Titans, and gave his thoughts on South Africa's excellent track record when it comes to producing world class sports officials.
