Early Christians chose December 25 as the day set aside to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, God’s Son. This date was chosen to counter the pagan holiday “Winter Solstice” which is celebrated on December 21...the longest night of darkness. We continue this tradition every year and celebrate as they did THE LIGHT that came into our darkness, Jesus...the EVERLASTING LIGHT.
