Listen "Midas Whale of NBC's "The Voice""
Episode Synopsis
We have Midas Whale in the studio. The folk duo made their television debut on NBC’s The Voice this year but their beginnings go back to 2009 when Jon Peter Lewis and Ryan Hayes met at an open mic night in Rexburg, Idaho.
Ryan Hayes has a master’s degree in geology and host Don Shelline chats with him about his love of all things rock (ba dum dum!), his early days as a trumpeter and his new interest in the accordion. Ryan may also confess in this episode to perfecting his wolf howl while on vacation in Alaska.
Jon Peter Lewis reveals that his musical skills extend to refined instruments like the harp and also talks about moving and living all over the United States and how the duo came up with their band name.
