Prior to moving up to the Pacific Northwest, he was a Married's Pastor at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, working with Pastor Chuck Smith, who was involved with the Jesus Revolution along with Pastor Greg Laurie.Since 1983, Ken has served as the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel in Spokane, WA. With an uncompromising commitment to the Word of God, Ken’s teaching style has often been characterized as a unique blend of comprehensive exposition paired with historical insights and personal transparency.Prior to coming to Calvary Spokane, Ken served as the academic director of the Shiloh Bible study center, Married’s Pastor at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, and Associate Pastor at Crossroads Community Church in Vancouver, WA.His personal and ministry experiences formed the basis for his two books, “Marriage The Way It’s Made To Be” and “Parenting By Grace & Truth”.Ken married Jamie in 1970 and began Pastoring in 1974. He has four children and thirteen grandchildren.
