Our enemy(ies) taunt us and challenge us - but we can celebrate because of the victory that Jesus has already achieved.Sermon Notes: In 1 Samuel 17, we ready the story of David and Goliath. Goliath was the champion of the Philistines and was physically larger and stronger than any one of the Israelites. Goliath could easily defeat any one the Israelites sent onto the battle field. However, David knew that with God on his side he had nothing to fear. God could and would defeat Goliath, and He did. David trusted God completely.Application Questions: 1. What are some 'Goliath's' in your life right now? 2. How are you demonstrating your trust in God in the face of those seemingly invincible obstacles / challenges? 3. What are some 'Goliath's' in our world today? 4. How can our communities demonstrate trust in God? 5. How can you share this with others who might not know of God's power and the victory that Jesus has already secured for us?
