She watched her mother suffer as her own son was escorted to the back of a police car in handcuffs. At the young age of 10, Sonia already knew she wanted to help families through gang prevention by providing recourses for families. Sonia is an advocate for her community. She has worked alongside at risk youth through a mentorship program. Sonia believes she is planting seeds of hope by putting God at the center of it all by bringing the community together to heal with God's help.She is currently in the process of building a ministry to help those impacted by injustice.
