Listen "What We've Lost in the Church--and the Virtue That Could Transform It"
Episode Synopsis
What happens when a weary heart, raised in the bustle of evangelical ministry, wanders into a humble midweek liturgy? In this episode, I share the story of stepping into an Episcopal healing service on a random Wednesday morning—and finding myself unexpectedly undone by the beauty of humility, tradition, and timeless prayer. From childhood memories of exploring quiet sanctuaries, to the struggle of finding church as a safe place while raising an autistic child, I reflect on the ache many of us carry with church and the longing for something more real, more gentle, and more humble. This is a conversation about disillusionment, discovery, and the surprising grace of finding God right where we didn’t expect Him.
