In this episode, i speak with Dhriti Sharma, an environmental engineer originally from India, who now works in Australia. She has developed expertise in mine-water management, landform and waterway rehabilitation, sediment and erosion control plus flood modelling. Having relocated to a new country, she draws on the belief that “giving up is not an option” both in adapting professionally and in executing closure and remediation projects. She also emphasises the vital role of community both personal and professional and brings a reflective spiritual approach to her environmental work, seeing technical solutions as part of a broader purpose of stewardship and connection.
