In the final episode of Henrico Happenings for 2023, Victoria is joined by representatives from My Henrico Academy (MHA). Raina Vann, Henrico's Multicultural Community Liaison, as well as two recent graduates of the MHA program, share stories about what the program has to offer for those considering signing up.
My Henrico Academy is a free program that engages multicultural communities with interactive lessons and culturally specific approaches to bridge participant’s understanding of how their local government and communities work together. Individuals who thrive in MHA seek information to share with other immigrants; attend program sessions with officials and leaders to learn how they can become more engaged in the civic process; and participate in activities to experience county programs, locations and services.
