Listen "Joshua Purvis | What is the benefit of creating a culture of curiosity in an organisation?"
Episode Synopsis
From asking hundreds of questions a day as a child, to drastically less as an adult, we all become less curious as we get older. So, what is the benefit of creating a culture of curiosity in an organisation? Today, Josh Purvis, co-founder and chief product officer at Assembly, explores curiosity, listening to real problems and how to express counter-opinions effectively.
Josh emphasises the importance of not only incentivising or promoting the wins but also the losses. Punishing losses will diminish the ability of people to experiment and be curious. Leading in this way limits innovation, creates fear-led leadership and ultimately results in more losses. Increasing the rate at which you experiment can help create a culture of curiosity.
