Episode Synopsis

On this episode, we are joined by the lovely Katie Wallace. At age 3, she was diagnosed with Autism and has been an advocate ever since. In 2004, she was the Homecoming Queen of Halifax County High school, making history as the first special needs person to be elected Homecoming Queen!  Alyssa and Katie talk about what she's been up to since then, as well as what she's working towards now. Katie also offers some advice to those diagnosed with Autism and speaks to the parents of these kids, "Please be patient and never give up on your kids."
