Listen "Curiosity Builds Community - A Conversation with Steve Heatherington"
Episode Synopsis
Hello Wise Women! Today, I’m bringing you a special conversation I had with my friend Steve Heatherington. This conversation has stayed with me, touching on something I've been thinking about a lot lately—growing old with curiosity, dignity, and wonder. I don’t want the privilege of aging to be weighed down by shame or resignation. And that brings me to my guest today, Steve. Curiosity about how things work is a hallmark of Steve’s life and work. He helps people with something to say and find their voice by using it through learning to podcast. Starting as a student, he now teaches The Podcasting Workshop and is also a Production Partner helping podcasters with their problems and projects. He lives in a small valley in South Wales where he is an alpaca shepherd to a herd of over 30 alpacas. They continuously teach him new things about slowing down and staying curious. They are also the subject of his own podcast - Alpaca Tribe. Steve defies the narrative we’re often told to fade into the background as we get older. Instead, he practices curiosity like a muscle, learning new things every day. I think you’ll find his story just as inspiring as I did. 🎙️ Original Podcast Music by Nadine Kelly (drums and vocals) and Tim Buell; Produced by Tim Buell☕️ Sponsored by Infusco Coffee Roasters.
