Episode Synopsis
Samantha shares her own struggle with depression and how she overcame it through community support, mindfulness and improving her eating habits.
Samantha grew up in Nottingham for most of her childhood and worked a lot within the community, she had always had a great work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit but during her teenage years, she struggled a lot with depression.
After trying out a lot of the free services that were out there and not getting much luck, Samantha referred herself to a mental health support group where she learnt about alternative therapies. After doing some research she realizes that there are other ways in which we can heal ourselves.
Samantha worked on herself for ten years, using CBT, hypnosis and mindfulness (especially around food) before deciding that she should share her results and story with others to help them on their journey.
