This episode begins with light hearted stories about our life in the Mormon church and the adventures we encountered in Alaska. We established “The Ladies of Light” and hosted the “It’s Gettin Dark” party. We built a community that became our source of strength and laughter. These moments of connection reminded us that even in the darkest seasons, friendship and shared experiences could create warmth and light. Amid these experiences, deeper questions began to emerge. We started to question everything we had known and believed. Was this feeling of unease normal? Were the struggles we faced unique to us, or were they unfolding in other homes as well? Recognizing that something was profoundly wrong, we grappled with how to move forward.This journey of questioning and self-discovery became as transformative as the Alaskan landscape itself. It forced us to confront difficult truths, seek understanding, and chart a path toward healing and growth. What began as a battle against external darkness led us to confront the shadows within, igniting a journey of empowerment and renewal.
