Listen "*We Are Standing On The Edge*"
Episode Synopsis
We’re back on the albums again! Part Sixteen, 150-141. We’re heading into the second 150, y’all! Let’s do this! - This week features Eric Dolphy, Radiohead, Belle & Sebastian and seven other artists to continue this massive undertaking. Hmm, who else could there be? ;) - Production note: Lest there be any confusion, I do not condone prejudice or discrimination of any kind for any reason against any individual who is a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. And I fully respect the human right of every person on this planet to express or not express their sexual orientation and/or gender identity as they see fit. - Thrilled to have gotten all the album info in, but of course if often comes at the expense of Poetry Time, which is a fare price to pay. I always choose one as a part of the structure of the show and I always want to share. _________________________________________ Where Dust Never Collects when I say love, I mean I wait at the door for you to arrive; I mean the walls of my chest are decorated with your pictures; I mean it’s safe here by William Bortz _________________________________________ - Oh it’s a major endeavor, alright. I’m going to try to listen to at least 10 albums a week for the rest of the year! Yeah, I’m not joking. Media, art, and entertainment publication Paste Magazine came out with a list of the 300 best albums and we’re going to go through them all! Well, I’m going to. And then we’re going to talk about it! Great tracks, themes, history, info, related artists, cultural context, personal experiences- they’re all going to play a part in these reviews. Totally stoked because I love music. (And a little intimidated! Because this is a lot to process) - If we keep up with an episode per week featuring 10 albums each, we’ll just about finish by the end of 2024. We’re doing this! Yay!! Thrilled you’re along for the ride. We are now, for the first time, closer to album 1 than album 300 ;) I’ll see you Monday, C - Correction: You’ll know it when you get to it perhaps, but for one of the artists I mentioned that a very well known song is track one on its respective album. It is actually track six. That was a notation error on my part. Thanks for your understanding
