(4:13-14) What happens to my Christ-following loved ones who have already died? “We do not grieve as others do, who have no hope…” (see Luke 23:39-43)   2. (4:15-18) What will take place when Christ returns?A. The Lord will descend from heaven (see Rev 19:11-16), with a shout, the voice of an archangel (see Jude 1:9), the sound of a trumpet of God… b. The “dead in Christ” will rise first. (see Matt 27:51-54) c. Believers, living at that time, will be “caught up together with them in the clouds… and so we will always be with the Lord.”  3. (5:1-3) Nobody knows when Christ will return (“like a thief in the night”) (see Matt 24:36-44; 2 Peter 3:10; Rev 3:3)    4. (5:4-11) Jesus is our motivation to live holy and productive lives, until that Day, for His glory! Support the show
