All Christians are considered exiles (1 Peter 1:1; 1 Peter 2:11; Phil 3:20). Ever since our ancestors – Adam & Eve – were expelled from Paradise, we have been living in exile, east of Eden. So how are we to live in exile? How do we live as believers in an unbelieving world where culture has become more hostile to our faith and belief in Jesus? How do we engage our culture without compromising our faith? Daniel personifies one who lives an uncompromising life of faith in an increasingly hostile world choosing to stand firm and honor God in a world that doesn’t.
