Lorene is running for a second term to continue her service as a Davis County Commissioner. She feels strongly that Commissioners should be full-time and be compensated accordingly. She believes a 3 member Commission is also appropriate and in this episode, she explains her reasons why. We also discuss the roles of County Commissioners and how the County Commission works with the 15 cities in Davis County, Utah.
Lorene was raised in Indiana. Her husband served in the Air Force and after being stationed at Hill for 4 years, they decided to make Kaysville their forever home. in 2013 Lorene decided to run for Public Office. She started to attend Kaysville City Council meetings and was appointed to serve on the Planning Commission. As a life-long learner, Lorene decided to return to school and earned her Master's Degree to better understand Public Administration.
