This week we’re continuing to look at the return of Christ. I would not want anyone to be caught unaware! Wherever you fall in your beliefs on this, He will return! I asked several weeks ago, Are you ready? Today we are going to look at living ready. We read Jesus’ words in Matt 24 and we’re in Luke 21 today.
There have been many changing insights about the book of Revelation over the years. Things have been fulfilled, have come into focus or have gotten clearer. Some say it is only a book of metaphors, some say it is to be taken literally. It isn’t the easiest to understand, to be honest. I remember as a teenager, that I was actually afraid to read it! The scariness of it all! I can’t recall what made me brave enough to finally read it, but I remember wanting to have someone explain it to me. You may feel the same. I always thought that in the final book of the Bible was a time where satan has his way and just destroys everything. Then I had a paradigm shift and realised that it is the wrath of God being poured out. He is completely in control and is orchestrating all the events. God is wrapping things up and bringing everything about just as He said. All things which are written will be fulfilled.
