Caleb was one of only two spies (along with Joshua) to come back with a good report when they were sent to spy out the land, a report of faith; believing that God had given Israel the land and would enable them to conquer it although it was full of giants. The other ten spies believed that Israel would be destroyed in the attempt to take Canaan, and the people of Israel believed the ten spies’ negative report . Be careful what voices you are listening to! Are they voices of faith or negative voices of fear? It can determine outcomes and postpone promises due to unbelief, fear or disobedience.
The ten spies, without faith in God, sized up the giants against their own strength and might, seeing themselves as grasshoppers, but Joshua and Caleb viewed the giants as grasshoppers against God’s power.
