Beth Moore has now decided to leave the Southern Baptist Convention over possible overturning of Resolution 9, which acknowledged the importance of CRT (Critical Race Theory) as a demographic tool but not as a Biblical hermeneutic.  Now all of the presidents of all of the SBC seminaries have written a letter denying it as even being used as a demographic tool.  As Tom Ascol and others are also leading the charge to regain control of the Convention, Resolution 9 may be overturned.
In the wake of Beth Moore leaving, people such as Russel Moore, who has no family ties to Beth, and some noted black pastors have left as well. With the word racist unfairly on their tongue, the South Baptist Convention has a decision to make.  Ride the tide against the culture or cave in.
Another result of the Beth Moore controversy is the question of misogynists running the SBC.  Using Resolution 9, many are attempting to tie it with women becoming pastors.
