Hair

Episode Synopsis

Guest Grumbler: Kim Gant

Our hair is precious. It’s our personality. It’s our identity. Every single day we fix our hair so that our face is gilded by luscious locks, framing our features with a hint of our hidden personalities. But, within the blessing of hair, there is – hidden – a curse. When our chimpanzee ancestors climbed down from their trees, they made a trade. The hair on our bodies was shed, but in turn, the hairs on our heads grow. Fur will only grow to a certain length, but our hair just keeps sprouting. Like the sheep that must be sheered, humans must repeatedly make homage to the salon. Then where do those strands go? The infinitesimally small cords plague our vacuums, our drains, our fans; that itch between your shoulder blades, hair, that itch in your mouth, hair, that black line in your soup, hair.

Join Mat, Veronique, and guest – Kim Gant – as we comb through the mystery, and highlight the split-ending follicle of truth.
