Today we're discussing a topic that is often neglected but is so important in leading your team and organisation. Today we're tackling your values and the behaviours that represent them.
So often, if we articulate our values at all, we announce them, maybe include them in documents and don't really focus on them any further. The reality is that, unless we articulate the behaviours that support our values, they will never make any difference to the way we work.
As we discuss today, behaviours will be different across different teams but, with common values to guide them, your teams will develop a cohesive approach to how they work across the organisation and how they deal with customers and suppliers. Articulating behaviours also enables you to include them in your KPIs as we discussed in Episode 18.
