OPENING PRAYER:
Gracious God, we gather in your presence to worship. You welcome us as we are. By your Spirit, meet us here and change us with your love. Open our ears to your Word and our hearts to your people. Receive our songs and our silence. Thank you for this church family. Thank you for your Son, Jesus, our Lord and Savior. AMEN.

Leader: Praise the Lord.
People: Sing to the Lord a new song.
Leader: Sing God’s praise in the assembly of the faithful.
People: Let us all be glad and give thanks and remember that God’s love endures forever.
All: The Lord God has done mighty acts for us all so let us rejoice in this day that God has made for us.

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
