Listen "Episode 042: a/perture"
Episode Synopsis
The two Aarons of a/perture join us to chat about the art house cinema in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem. Aaron Botts is the theatre manager, and Aaron Kepley is the deputy director of this unique, nonprofit cinema founded by Lawren Desai. A/perture features diverse programming and award-winning films on its screens through partnerships with Sundance, the National Black Theatre Festival, National Theatre Live, and more. Creating a retro and engaging audience experience, it offers intimate theatre sizes and films that share compelling stories. Through its a/ mobile outdoor series, a/perture brings films to the community to enjoy for free, under the stars, at Bailey Park, MUSE, and Crossnore.
