We've been learning from Jesus what will happen in the last days – in the end times just before Christ triumphal return to the earth. It's not a pretty picture. And while there are certainly similarities to our current age and what's happening in our country, world and culture, there are even worse times ahead – unprecedented carnage, persecution and destruction. In all this we find comfort – God's compassion remains on display, even when it's accompanied by His holy judgement, and that should encourage us to reflect His compassion and tell others about the good news of salvation.
