Listen "Lead Humbly"
Episode Synopsis
Humility is one of the most powerful virtues. Being humble is not a weakness but a powerful virtue, especially in leadership. That's the devotion today, Lead Humbly. Scripture said in John 13:5, “After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.” Jesus not only taught humility, but He demonstrated it. In one momentous event, He washed the disciple's feet to set them an example to follow. His act shows that servanthood is empowering. So, in turn, the disciples must show humility toward one another by serving one another as their Master Teacher did. Servanthood in the Christian community is the norm for leadership and is effective in all aspects of life, even in the home and marketplace. When you have it, people will know it. You are happy to serve, from praying for the needs of others to helping them meet those needs. True servanthood does not seek self-glorybut God's glory. As a result, you don't mind if you are recognized or not, applauded or not, but are satisfied to reflect the One you follow. Lead humbly. Understand God is the God of promotion. The only way up is down. The ladder up is open for those who lead humbly with God. While the slide down to the prideful. Lead humbly. Servant leadership is empowering. Are you a servant leader? Remember, God blesses a humble heart. May the Lord’s humility be upon you as you serve today. Amen.
