Psalm 8:1, 9 (NASB) - “Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!”Psalm 8 is a powerful hymn that draws our attention to the majesty of God, seen in both the vastness of creation and the tender care He shows to humanity. When we consider the heavens, the work of God's fingers—the moon and the stars that He has set in place—our hearts should be filled with awe and reverence. Despite the grandeur of the universe, God is mindful of us. He has crowned us with glory and honour, giving us stewardship over His creation.In today’s world, it’s easy to feel small and insignificant, especially when we face overwhelming challenges or look at the seemingly infinite cosmos. Yet, Psalm 8 reminds us that the God who created the universe is the same God who cares for us intimately. He knows our struggles and our joys. His majesty is not just a display of power but also a demonstration of His love and grace toward us.Reflect on the fact that God, in His majesty, chose to give us responsibility over the earth. This speaks to the dignity He has bestowed upon us, but it also calls us to recognise our purpose in His creation. We are to reflect His glory, care for His creation, and live in a way that honours the trust He has placed in us.When life becomes overwhelming, take a moment to look up at the sky or meditate on the beauty of creation around you. Let it remind you of God’s greatness and His intimate care for you. Worship Him for His majesty and commit to living in a way that reflects His glory.Prayer:Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!
