Episode Synopsis

Matthew 6:3-4 (NLT) - “But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.”Jesus cares more about the “why” behind our giving than the “what.” In three short stories, He shows us the true posture of the heart when it comes to generosity. In Matthew 6, He reminds us to give in private—not to show off or gain praise from others. Generosity is not a performance; it is worship. God sees even the most silent act of love.In Luke 18, we meet a proud Pharisee and a humble tax collector. The Pharisee boasts about his fasting and tithing, but it is the tax collector’s humble heart that Jesus commends. Giving doesn’t make us righteous; only grace does. And in Mark 12, a poor widow drops two small coins into the offering box. It may seem small, but Jesus calls it the greatest gift—because it cost her everything. She gave not from excess, but from trust.True giving flows not from abundance, but from the heart. It is not the size of the gift that matters to God, but the sincerity and sacrifice behind it.Do I give to be seen or to serve? Do I give out of excess or sacrifice? Do I trust God enough to give without fear? This week, ask God to show you one person or need you can give to quietly—without recognition or reward. Whether it is your time, money, or encouragement, give from the heart. Let your giving be between you and God alone. Rest assured that He sees it. He values it. And He promises to provide.Let us Pray:Lord, help me to give with a heart that pleases You. Teach me to trust You with what I have. Whether it is much or little, may I give in humility, in faith, and in worship. You are my Provider, and I honour You with all that You’ve given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
