Listen "Equipped to Serve"

Episode Synopsis

Romans 12:6 (NASB95) - “Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly.”God never sends us into His mission unprepared. Just as builders are equipped with specific tools for their job, God gives every believer a spiritual gift—something uniquely suited for His purpose. These gifts are not earned. They are given by grace. And they are meant to build up the church and bless the world. But here’s the thing: before we can serve effectively, we must first surrender. Romans 12:1 calls us to offer our bodies as a “living and holy sacrifice.” That means giving God not just our Sunday mornings but our everyday lives. Serving begins with surrender. Then comes honest evaluation. Verse 3 reminds us not to think too highly of ourselves—but also not too little. God has gifted you with something valuable. You don’t have to compare or compete. You just have to contribute. And finally, love must fuel everything. Romans 12:9 says, “Let love be without hypocrisy.” Whether we lead, give, teach, encourage, or show mercy—do it in love. Without love, even the greatest gifts mean nothing (1 Corinthians 13:1–3).Your gift may seem small, but in the hands of God, it can make an eternal impact. The world doesn’t just need talented people—it needs faithful ones. You’ve been equipped. Now go and serve.Have you discovered your spiritual gift? Are you using it? Ask God to show you how you can serve His body and His mission today.Prayer:Lord, thank You for the gift You’ve given me. Help me surrender fully, serve humbly, and love deeply. Show me where and how You want to use me for Your mission. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
