Join me for a journey through the Advent season as we "See God Move." Advent comes from the Latin word adventus, which means “coming” or “arrival.” We take these four weeks to wait in wonder for the coming of Immanuel, God with us. We light candles and linger over the words of Scripture. At our house, our schedule has more spaces to breathe and be together around the table at the same time. We talk about the four themes of the Advent weeks: hope, peace, joy, and love. We lament and laugh and lose track of time on these longer winter nights.
