In this episode, Prof. Maillet is joined by six fourth-year students at UVA’s McIntire School of Commerce and McIntire visiting lecturer Rick Carew. In the course of the question-and-answer session, Prof. Maillet provides historical context on the state of equity markets, as well as the potential impact of rising inflation on markets and the economy. Prof. Carew discusses the state of U.S.-China technology competition and how social media platforms are grappling with their growing importance in the public dialogue. The conversation concludes with a consideration of the role of the corporation and the interconnectedness of business and society.
