In Ghostly’s ninth episode, Pat and
Rebecca celebrate President’s Day by looking into whether the nation’s first
president still haunts his home. George Washington’s ghost is rumored to visit
those who dare spend the night in this bedroom at Mount Vernon.



Questions explored in this episode: Does
George Washington visit those who spend the night in his deathbed? Do those who
tour Mount Vernon see him in shadow?  Do
mediums feel his presence?  What is the
history of Mount Vernon?  What historical
accounts of George Washington’s ghost do we have?  Are there contemporary accounts of people seeing
his spirit?

In this episode Pat gives the
history of Mount Vernon itself and tells us about Washington’s death.  Then Rebecca tells the ghost stories
associate with this home, stories that span over hundreds of years.

As always, Pat and Rebecca debate
what is fact and what is fiction in these stories. Listen to both sides and
decide what you believe. They go through each one, debating the evidence. Be
