Episode Synopsis
1963 is the dawn of Instant Replay. Tony Verna a 30-year old director implements during the Army - Navy game at Municipal Stadium in Philidelphia.
Steve thinks that "D'ems the breaks". Things happen in real life and everything does not and is not fair. As a former public defender, Steve says judges make mistakes all the time. He would tell his PD's they need to hit it so far fair because anything on the line would be left to chance.
Jonathan talks Six Sigma and process. He thinks Instant Replay is a salve for bad officiating. Replay should be used to improve the game and the officials. Not too much and not too little.
Steve is not feeling Jonathan and everything turns back into analytics, process, and stats.
